A little about us...

The Frisby Players is a small, informal amateur dramatic group first formed in 1995. Since that time we have staged various comedies, farces and a number other events with the main aims of having some fun and providing entertainment to residents of Frisby-on-the-Wreake and surrounding villages. Another purpose of the society is to raise funds for local causes and village organisations, at home and throughout the parish of the Upper Wreake. Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds, providing much needed funding for the Village Hall, the village church, the local school, pre-school and the village cricket club.

The End Of The Pier Show

Our productions take place mainly in the Village Hall, which has a seating capacity of 120 when the stage is erected. Each production is staged over three consecutive nights, normally a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with ticket prices at £5. We also have a concessionary night on the Thursdays when ticket prices for children, students and OAP's are £3.

The End Of The Pier Show

We are constantly looking for new members to join us. Along with those wishing to try their hand at acting there is a production team who create scenery, find costumes and props, control the lighting & sound. Other members provide stage management back-up, help to promote the events or provide the front of house assistance and man the licensed bar on the actual production nights.
